Nancy O'Dell's first position in the broadcasting industry was as an anchor and reporter at WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. She then worked as an anchor and morning reporter on WCBD TV. O'Dell's reportage on the streets of Charleston on police leniency towards DUI cases resulted in the State Law Enforcement Division investigating the cases. It was reported that the Associated Press honored Ms. O'Dell with the Best Report of the Years Award across all South Carolina Media. O'Dell later worked at the Miami-based NBC station WTVJ-TV as a investigative reporter prior to joining Access Hollywood in the role of weekend co-anchor. In addition, she serves as a co-anchor on Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She has covered major events like The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. Alongside co-hosting the Pre-ShowArrivals in preparation for The Emmys & The Golden Globes. Her other co-hosting credits include Miss USA, the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
